Puneeth Rajkumar’s eyes donated; to be cremated with full state honours on Sunday

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar passed away on Friday afternoon after he suffered a stroke. He was in the gym on the morning of October 29 when he suffered chest pain and was immediately taken to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru. He was declared dead at 2.30 pm. The superstar will be cremated with full state honours on Sunday. The cremation ceremony will be held at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru’s Nandini Layout, where Puneeth’s father and Kannada icon Dr. Rajkumar is buried. The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai has granted permission to cremate Puneeth’s body next to his father’s burial place.

In an official statement, the hospital wrote, “Puneeth Rajkumar was brought to Vikram Hospital today with diagnosis of heart attack with ECG done by a family doctor. At the time of arrival to the emergency, the patient was non-responsive and was in cardiac asystole. Immediate adv cardiac life support measures were initiated for resuscitation. In spite of prolonged advanced &aggressive measures, patient continued to be non-responsive& asystolic. A panel of medical experts extended all efforts to save him. He was declared dead at 2.30 pm.”

Puneeth was a beloved star and his sudden demise was received with shock by his admirers. Even before his demise was declared, hundreds of fans had gathered outside the hospital. The actor’s body was taken to his residence at Sadashiva Nagar and later brought to the Kanteerva Stadium in central Bengaluru. His body will be kept at the stadium on Saturday allowing fans to pay their respect.

Puneeth had pledged to donate his eyes, just like his father. His eyes were donated on Friday.

He is survived by his wife Ashwini and their two daughters.

Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez dance to Sooryavanshi song ‘Mere Yaaraa’ but it ends with hilarious twist, watch video

Actor Akshay Kumar is not missing any chance to promote his upcoming film, Sooryavanshi. Recently, the actor shared a video where he is seen dancing to Sooryavanshi song ‘MereYaaraa’ with his Ram Setu co-star Jacqueline Fernandez. But, things didn’t go as planned.

On October 29, Akshay shared a video on his Instagram where he was seen getting down on one knee and offering a heart-shaped red balloon to Jacqueline Fernandez. It seems like a perfect romance as they groove to ‘Mere Yaaraa’. However, the balloon bursts, which Akshay described as bursting a romantic bubble. He wrote in the caption, “And that’s how I and @jacquelinef143 showcase how to burst the bubble on seemingly perfect romance. Quite literally #MereYaaraa.”

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s love song, ‘Mere Yaaraa’ from Sooryavanshi was released on October 27. The two were seen building a perfect life together in its music video. Sung by Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan, the lyrics have been penned by Rashmi Virag.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen sharing space in Ram Setu and Bachchan Pandey. Sooryavanshi is the fourth film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. It features cameo appearances by Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn. The film is all set to release in theatres on Diwali, November 5. Its first song ‘Aila Re Aillaa’ was released on October 21 and became the most viewed Hindi Bollywood film song in 24 hours.

The INSIDE Story: Salman Khan wanted to release Antim on Diwali; the superstar averted the clash with Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi on Rohit Shetty’s request

The much awaited film Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar, is all set to release in a week and the excitement everywhere is tremendous. Not just fans, but even the industry members have been tweeting in support as it’s the first big Hindi film to release on the big screen after nearly 18 months. XDReams has now found out that a prominent industry person also stepped in to ensure that Sooryavanshi did not face any obstacles at the box office. And that person is none other than superstar Salman Khan.

A source told us, “Salman Khan was looking at a date to release his film Antim – The Final Truth, co-starring Aayush Sharma. One of the dates he was eyeing was November 5, which is also the day Sooryavanshi releases. When Sooryavanshi’s director and co-producer Rohit Shetty learnt about this development, he met Salman Khan and requested him to avoid clashing with his film. He told the superstar that a solo release was important for a big film like Sooryavanshi.”

The source continued, “Salman Khan agreed with Rohit Shetty’s point. He realized that if Antim – The Final Truth will clash with Sooryavanshi, then the screens will get divided and it may harm both the films, particularly Sooryavanshi, as it’s quite a big-budget fare. Hence, Salman gracefully decided not to release Antim – The Final Truth on November 5. He finally decided to bring the Mahesh Manjrekar-directorial on November 26.”

Interestingly, Rohit Shetty and Sooryavanshi’s leading lady Katrina Kaif went to promote their action packed film on ‘Bigg Boss 15’ which is hosted by Salman Khan. The shoot of this episode took place yesterday.

A trade expert shared with XDReams, “This shows the love and brotherhood among the people of the Bollywood fraternity. Rohit Shetty has waited for nearly 18-19 months to release his film in cinemas. He didn’t take the OTT route and it’s good to see that the industry is giving him full support to ensure that his film gets the best possible showcasing. It’s also heartening to see that no film is releasing on November 12, that is, a week after Sooryavanshi.”

As Bigg Boss 15’s this week was full of drama, fights, misunderstandings and laughter, the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode will see host Salman Khan addressing the issues between the housemates through a new task. The housemates will get a card with a list of complaints by their fellow contestants, which is going to make them face others’ opinions of them.

In a promo shared by the makers, the upcoming episode shows a major disagreement between Salman Khan and Shamita Shetty. The host seems quite disappointed with the actress and her ideation in the Bigg Boss house. He was upset with the fact that Shamita wants everyone to agree with her no matter what.

Then Salman calls her the ‘Rani’ of the house and questions her about the same. An offendedShamita reacts by saying, “To main kya karoon if I’m born like this. Let me tell you, I do the most amount of work in the house. Really this is annoying.” Her response disappoints the host who then says, “Main chahoontoh ye pura episode silent mein nikaal doon, aaun hee nahi.”

Though there’s a lot of drama that awaits with all the serious discussion, the Weekend Ka Vaar episode will see a fun segment when Katrina Kaif and Rohit Shetty will make a special appearance on the show.

BREAKING! Aryan Khan released from Arthur Road Jail, returns home after 28 days

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s elder child Aryan Khan will be returning home after 28 days. He was taken into custody on the night of October 2 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) along with a few others after the agency conducted a raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. On October 3, Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB in the case. The Khan house, Mannat, in Bandra was decked up with lights to welcome Aryan on Friday, October 29. However, owing to a delay in completing formalities for release, Aryan had to spend another night in jail.

Today, October 30, Aryan Khan was released from Arthur Road Jail. Shah Rukh Khan’s bodyguard Ravi and his team had reached early morning to pick him up. The jail authorities picked up the bail order at 5:30 am on Saturday from the Arthur Road Jail mailbox. Aryan Khan was released from jail at 11am after which he sat in the car and left the jail.

Aryan Khan and his friends Arbaaz Merchant were denied bail thrice before submitting a plea at the Bombay High Court. The Higher Court started hearing the bail plea by Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha on October 26. It was concluded on October 28 with the judge passing its verdict in favour of Aryan Khan and the other two accused.

On Friday, Bombay High Court Justice Sambre issued the bail order citing 14 bail conditions for Aryan Khan. The conditions included a bail surety of Rs. 1 lakh, surrendering of passport, and appearing before the NCB every Friday to mark his presence. Soon after, Juhi Chawla appeared at a Mumbai sessions court to sign the bail surety of Aryan Khan. She is not only Shah Rukh Khan’s close friend but also a business partner.

Aryan Khan was represented by Senior Advocate Satish Maneshinde, Senior Advocate Amit Desai, and Former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi.

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son Taimur Ali Khan turns into a cowboy in these Halloween party pictures

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s older son Taimur Ali Khan celebrated Halloween early this year. The star kid attended a terrace party specially organized for him and his friends. In the glimpses shared on Instagram, Taimur can be seen posing with his friends and one of the organizers.

He had an outline of an animated ghost painted on his cheek. It seemed like he had dressed as a cowboy, wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of denim pants with light brown cowboy boots. He also had a red scarf wrapped around his neck.

Taimur was joined by Tusshar Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s sons Laksshya and Ravi. Laksshya opted for an all-black outfit whereas Ravie channeled Batman. In the photos, the children were seen dancing and participating in a number of fun games. They were also served treats as well.

The party took place a few days before Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with kids Taimur and Jeh left for Rajasthan for a vacation. The family seems to be vacationing in Jaisalmer. Before their trip to Jaisalmer, Kareena and Saif had taken a trip to the Maldives twice. During their first trip, they celebrated Saif’s birthday. They visited the exotic island again for Kareena’s birthday.

Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do to release on Republic Day weekend in 2022

Three years after their National Award-winning film, Badhaai Ho, Junglee Pictures is all set to take the love for the movie to the next level with Badhaai Do. The movie directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni is one of the most eagerly awaited family entertainers releasing next year. Besides Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, the family entertainer also boasts of an ensemble cast featuring seasoned actors like Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey, Shashi Bhushan amongst others essaying pivotal roles taking the narrative ahead. Building the anticipation further, the makers have now officially announced the theatrical release date of Badhaai Do on Republic Day Weekend, 2022.

Sharing the screen space for the first time, Rajkummar and Bhumi will be seen portraying interesting characters they have never played on screen before. While Raj will be essaying the role of a cop in a mahila police thana, Bhumi plays the role of a PT Teacher in the film.

Director Harshavardhan Kulkarni says, “When it comes to family entertainers especially comedy films, cinema is the ideal platform as they can be enjoyed with the entire family. Junglee Pictures’ Badhaai Do is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary. The movie is scheduled to release on Republic Day weekend.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to shoot a song before Brahmastra wrap up

As the much-awaited Brahmastra seems to have reached its last leg, it is heard that director Ayan Mukerji has included a song at the last minute. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt went through its share of excruciating times since it went on floors in 2018. As per the sources, a large set has been erected at Film City, Goregaon, where the leads will give shape to the track over the next two weeks.

A source revealed that while Ayan has lined up a few sequences, the primary shoot is of the song. An elaborate set has been put up, and over 40 junior artistes will be part of the number, said the source.

The source further added that after Alia finishes her portions, she will return to the set of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani because the next schedule of Karan Johar’s movie is lined up for December in Delhi.

Moreover, if all goes well, Ayan will call it a wrap on his project by November end which also features Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna.

Rinzing Denzongpa and Malvika Raaj’s debut film Squad to release on ZEE5 on November 12, 2021

After the success of State of Siege: Temple Attack, Dial 100, and Rashmi Rocket, ZEE5 is set to bring Squad. Produced by Zee Studios and Indian Media Entertainment and directed by Nilesh Sahay, Squad is an action thriller with patriotism at the heart of it. The movie is headlined by debutant actors, Rinzing Denzongpa and Malvika Raaj and supported by Pooja Batra, Mohan Kapur and Amit Gaur.

Squad revolves around the battle between the nations’ Special forces with a little girl at the centre of it who has lost everyone in her life. With patriotism and an emotional bond at the heart of it, Squad also has high-octane action sequences involving MIG 8, helicopter chases and 400 soldiers in a never seen before climax scene which will blow everyone’s mind. It is the first Indian film to be shot in Belarus.
