Al the focus now shifts toward the second Test. England with their ultra-attacking approach were able to eke out results in the dead pitches in Pakistan. The Kiwis failed to get win in the first Test. The second-Test thus becomes a must-win for both teams if they want to win the series. For Pakistan, after two back-to-back series defeats at home, a win against the Kiwis will be a huge result.

Both teams are out of the race for making the final of the WTC. Pakistan are placed seventh on the table and the Kiwis are eighth. The Men in Green are on 60 points (38.46 % point) while the BlackCaps are on 32 points (38.46). Both the teams have lost six Tests each in the meantime.

Sun will b shining bright across the five days of the Test match. The temperature will be around 25-30 degrees. There will breeze blowing in spells with nice bright and sunny weather. There is no threat of rain.
The Karachi pitch will have all the focus after the drawn first Test. Pakistan scored 438 in the first innings. The Kiwis then replied scoring a mammoth 612. The pitch curator would look forward to making a more result-oriented 22-yard after all the criticism in the first Test.
