The top two teams from each group will go into the semifinals. This is the first instance since the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games when cricket will be played.

The tournament begins on July 29 in Birmingham. All the games will be played at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground. The Gold Medal and Bronze Medal match will be played on August 7 side by side.
